Trevor Day Technology: Setting Your Default MS Word Working Folder to H:

*** The H: Drive is a large storage space for your files, located on a server on the Trevor Network. Storing your files on your H: drive allows you to access them from any computer on the Trevor network. ***

To set your working folder:

  1. Within Microsoft Word, go to Tools ŕ Options
  2. Click the "File Locations" tab
  3. Under File Types, click once to select "Documents"
  4. Click the "Modify…" button
  5. Navigate to your H: drive (by clicking the drop-down arrow near the "Look In:" menu and clicking on the drive that says something similar to "jsmith on LS1 (H:)", where "jsmith" will be your username)
  6. If you do not have an entry for your H: drive, please consult Trevor technical support!
  7. Click "OK"
  8. The Documents entry should now read "H:\"
