Installing eTrust InoculateIT
- Double
click on My Computer/ Programs on HS2 (J:)/ InoculateIT Setup folder.
- Double-click
on Setup.exe to start the install program. If you can't see the
file type (the .exe), go to View/Folder Options; click on the View tab;
make sure the circle is on "Show all files" and UNCHECK the
box that says "Hide file extensions for unknown file
types". There are about 4 setup icons in this folder. It's the blue
one that looks like a computer.
- Click
Next, then I Agree.
For your Name, put your real name; for Company,
put Trevor Day School. Click Next.
Click
NO if you
are asked to keep the original settings from an older version.
Click Next again and let the install run through.
This takes a few minutes.
- If
it tells you there's no floppy drive on this machine, click OK. Then click
Cancel when you are asked to create a Rescue Disk.
- Click
Yes when you are asked to restart your machine and then click
Finish.
The new version of the InoculateIT software is now installed on your machine, but you MUST also follow
the instructions to make sure the settings are correct for curing infected
files on your machine and keeping the virus definitions up to date.
