Installing an OKI Printer in Vista

  1. Click on “Printers” (start menu)
  2. Click “Add a Printer” (toward top of screen)
  3. Click “Add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer”
  4. Click “The printer I want isn’t listed”
  5. Select “Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname”
  6. Click “Next”
  7. In the box next Hostname or IP address, type the IP address, as listed on the printer
  8. (For Example: 172.16.13.209—include the “.’s”)
  9. Make sure the box next to “Query the printer and automatically….” Is unchecked.
  10. Under “Device Type,” next to “Standard,” choose “Hewlett Packard Jet Direct” (click the small triangle)
  11. Click “Next”
  12. Under “Manufacturer,” choose “HP”
  13. Under “Printers,” choose “HP Color LaserJet 3700 PCL 5” Click “Next”
  14. Type in the correct name of the printer (e.g. “Apollo4”)
  15. Click “Next”
  16. Click “Print a Test Page” to make sure it works
  17. Click “Finish”
