Vista & Outlook Web Access

Issue:

In Vista and IE7, Outlook Web Access (Trevor email on the Internet) stalls when trying to display the email pane and does not ever display emails.

Solution:

To use Outlook Web Access in IE7 add OWA to your list of secure sites

Here's How:

1. Navigate to your respective campuses OWA:
   • https://ex6.wc.trevornet.org/exchange (WC)
   • http://ex3.ec.trevornet.org/exchange/ (EC)
   • http://mail.admin.trevornet.org/exchange (Admin )
2. Copy the (URL) web address, once you are in
3. In IE7
   1. Select Tools/Internet Options/Security (Tab)
   2. Select the Trusted Sites check mark
   3. Click the Sites button
   4. Paste the web address into the "Add this website to the zone:" dialogue box
   5. Click Close
   6. Click Ok

Or, use Firefox:

The workaround is simple. To access OWA, use the Mozilla Firefox browser which is available by clicking on:

• Start
• All Programs
• Mozilla Firefox
• Mozilla Firefox

If you don’t have a link to OWA in Firefox, copy the following URL and paste it in the Firefox address line and hit enter.

• http://ex6.wc.trevornet.org/exchange (WC)
• http://ex3.ec.trevornet.org/exchange/ (EC)
• http://mail.admin.trevornet.org/exchange (Admin )

When you access OWA save it as a favorite in Firefox.
