If your version of Microsoft Windows Defender (anti-spyware) has expired and you want the new version, please follow these directions.

• Click Start
• Click Control Panel
• Click Add or Remove Programs
• After the program list populates find and click on Windows Defender to highlight it.
• Click Remove
• Click on this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&displaylang=en which will take you to the Microsoft download website.
• Follow the directions on the web page.
• When you’re prompted to save or install the program, select save and save it to your desktop.
• Close the website.
• Double click on the Windows Defender icon on your desktop, which should be a computer and CD ROM and follow the installation instructions.
