Summer
2008
Dates for the Summer of
2008
To avoid a late August crunch, we have expanded the Laptop Days
timeframe to include many of the remaining week days in July and August.
Please see the schedule at the bottom of this page.
Who should attend Laptop Days?
- All 6th Grade students should come in to have their laptop network
settings changed from
the East Campus to the West Campus.
- Middle and High School students who
purchased a new laptop during the summer should come in to have it customized and
properly configured for the Trevor network.
- All other Middle and High School students should stop in to make sure
their laptops still connect to our network and to resolve any hardware or
software
problems.
Why should I attend August Laptop Days?
- Teachers will expect students to be
prepared to use their laptops on the first day of
the new school year.
- The technology staff will be extremely busy during the first few
weeks of school and will be able to give your laptop more attention
during the summer.
What should I expect when I arrive for
Laptop Days?
- You may be asked to follow written instructions
for completing some common tasks, such as customizing your new Dell laptop for the Trevor network.
- You may need to leave your laptop at school for a
few days to allow the technology staff additional time to troubleshoot difficult
problems or install necessary software.
Where will Laptop Days be
held?
- The Laptop Days for Middle and High School students will be held
in the common room on the 3rd floor of the Upper School.
