Cate Bell ’01 and Lizzie Straus Schubert ’01 led a high
school assembly on Thursday, February 16, 2006. Cate
Bell is a recent graduate of Davidson University (North
Carolina) and Lizzie Straus Schubert is a recent graduate of
Connecticut College (Connecticut). The alumnae spoke to
the students about their trip to the Gulf States after
Hurricane Katrina ravaged the area. The assembly was
highlighted by poignant photos and video from their
experience. Cate and Lizzie discussed the impetus of the
trip, referring to their experience at Trevor and their
acquired social and political awareness. The student
body praised the efforts of the two alumnae, and the Trevor
students were provided with a number of agencies to contact in
