Trevor Day School's AfterSchool program, ENCORE, runs daily from 3:00-6:30 pm for Kindergarten to fifth grade  students. ENCORE has two programs, the Kindergarten/First Grade Program and the Second to Fifth Grade Program. Both are supervised by a head teacher and an assistant teacher.

Kindergarten and First Grade Program Highlights:

A Typical AfterSchool Day for K-1

The kids are escorted to the AfterSchool room by one of their teachers. AfterSchool begins with the kids socializing about their day and then sitting down for story and snack time. Unless they are enrolled in a special class (chess, martial arts, or soccer) at 3:30, the kids will be involved in Drama, Sports, or Creative Movement (depending on the day). The kids also have time to have free play and do an organized group activity with their AfterSchool teacher.

Grades 2 - 5

For 3rd-5th graders, there is an opportunity to sign up for “Homework Time” each day. While the “Homework Room” is supervised by an adult, students are expected to work independently and quietly on homework. Students and parents discuss and agree to the appropriate use of “Homework Time.” Parents must notify the director if they do not want their children to participate in Homework Time.

Students who remain in "Core" have the opportunity to participate in a variety of theme days, such as "Country and Western Day", "Rock and Roll Party", and "Beach Day". Specific activities are, a Twist dance off, Lip sync Elvis and Supremes contest, Hula hoop contest, Country and Western Bingo, Horse Racing, Limbo and Several Beach Dances.
