| To begin the admissions process, please submit a completed Application Form and the non-refundable Application Fee of $50.00 to the Admissions Office as soon as possible. This fee is waived if Financial Aid is requested and / or you are submitting the application on line. Since there is a limited number of interview spaces available, the Admissions Committee closes admissions when necessary and allocates appointments to ensure a diverse pool of applicants. | |
| School Tour and Meeting with Admissions Director | |
| After receiving the application, the Admissions Office schedules small group tours for parents. An applicant’s parents (except Nursery) meet briefly with an Admissions Director either before or after the small group tour. Tours will be scheduled for mornings in the fall or early winter. | |
| Applicant Visit | |
| Nursery applicants engage in supervised play while their parents meet with an Admissions Director in the same room. On Saturdays small groups of Kindergarten applicants participate in teacher-directed activities, enjoy a snack, and have a brief period of unstructured play. Kindergarten applicants can indicate their preferred visit dates online. Applicants for other grades spend part of the school day with their peers. | |

| Please sign the Transcript Release and give it to the school in which your child is enrolled if your child is applying for PreKindergarten or above. This release authorizes the applicant’s school to provide the Admissions Office with confidential information and school records. The Admissions Office welcomes any additional information about an applicant’s academic and social skills that you believe may be helpful to the Admissions Committee. | |
| Testing | |

All applicants for Kindergarten through Grade 5 must take a test administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) (212-672-9800 or www.erbtest.org). The ERB administers tests for all member schools of the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY), so scheduling early is advisable. |

| Personal Recommendations are optional. A personal recommendations often provides an additional perspective, allowing the Admissions Committee to get to know the applicant better. To assist the recommender, a Personal Recommendation Form is included in PDF format. | |

Although parents of an applicant meet with an Admissions Director, some parents have expressed a desire to also share their thoughts in writing through a Parent Statement. Trevor Day School complies with the

notification dates in February and early March. On those dates, the
Admissions Office will send a letter of decision to all applicants with
