Date Preference For Your Child's Visit to Trevor Day School
For Kindergarten Applicants Only

Now that we have received your online application, we are ready to start scheduling your child’s visit to Trevor. To help make this process easier, we see applicants for Kindergarten on Saturdays between October 2008 and February 2009. Approximately eight children visit in a classroom for an hour in a simulated school day that includes choice time, a table activity, a snack and a story. Your child should come comfortably dressed and ready for fun.

Our goal is to ensure that all applicants feel comfortable with their peers and enjoy their visit. With that in mind, we want our playgroups to reflect the diverse coeducational school we are, with boys and girls visiting from many different neighborhoods and Early Childhood Schools.

As you select your preferences for a visiting date, please keep the following in mind:

  • Sometimes children with late birthdays (spring and summer) can find themselves overwhelmed at early visits (October/ November).
  • If you are applying for Early Notice at another school, we suggest you choose a late visit date at Trevor for your child. (You do not need to let us know if you are applying elsewhere for Early Notice)
  • Trevor families applying for Early Notice to Trevor should choose an early date for their child’s visit. (Early Notice is generally available to siblings of currently enrolled students, children of Alums and children of faculty and staff)

    A member of our staff will be in touch to schedule your child’s visit date. Please note that we will not contact families until after Labor Day. We will try to contact you soon after we receive your application, but please allow us at least three weeks from the date you submitted you application before calling our office to check on your application. We suggest you print out a copy of this page for your records.
